The Federal Bureau of Investigations brought together leaders from various religions to discuss how to prevent terrorism from within their organizations. Further, the FBI shared intelligence with the leaders from previous attacks.

The meeting was convened with the intent of preventing bias-based attacks on religious institutions. The event took place in Washington D.C. at FBI headquarters.

The FBI convened the session to aid the religious groups in identifying potential risks within their communities. A portion of the event was dedicated to data analyzation. An agent broke down the intelligence surrounding recent shootings.

Further the issue was raised that given the increase in tension in the Middle East between Iran and the United States, there could be heightened tensions and those could lead people to act violently towards opposing communities.
