Not one, but several of the 2020 Democratic prospects for President of the United States are calling for some form of a ban on a specific type of firearm. It is safe to assume that should one of them be elected, Americans will lose their right to protect themselves.

One of the leading nominees, Beto O’Rourke, has said multiple times, that he plans to enact a ban on AR-15 and AK-47 style weapons. However, at the debate on Tuesday night, he was asked a question; how do you plan to take those weapons from the people who don’t comply?

Beto responded that he expects Americans to follow the law. “I expect my fellow Americans to follow the law. The same way we enforce any provision, any law that we have right now, we don’t go door to door to do anything to enforce the law. I expect Republicans, Democrats, gun owners, non-gun owners alike, to follow the law.”

There are currently some sixteen million AR-style weapons in the United States that the government knows about. That means that millions of people should his plan be enacted become subject to arrest, or worse.

Beto said in regards to those who chose not to turn theirs in; “If someone does not turn an AR-15 or an AK-47, one of these weapons of war, or brings it out in public and brandishes it, in an attempt to intimidate…then that weapon will be taken from them. If they persist, there will be other consequences from law enforcement.”

The majority of Americans are not going to turn their rifles in, because they are a means to defend theirselves against personal threats and ones explicitly mentioned in the constitution; governmental tyranny.

Should Beto become President, sixteen million Americans could become felons overnight. As we’ve heard from many persons in the United States; that is legislation, by which they will not comply.
